About the band!

~BEDOK GREEN CONCERT BAND~
Started on 2001..
A group of 45 music-loving students came together to form the school concert band.
Many started with hardly any knowledge of music, but have become outstanding players in the band today.
Our band has since over the years performed at many school events and even made some public appearances.
As of this year 2011, our band averages a strength of about 60 dedicated members.

Vision

“To develop and nurture the students’ character and love for music and be equipped with the skills to play a musical instrument”

Objectives

Students will be able to:
•Develop aesthetically
•Gain confidence in their musical ability
•Exhibit showmanship and professionalism
•Foster teamwork
•Execute stationary drills and obey basic commands

Okay, announcements& reminders!

  1. Hand in the SYF rehearsal form tomorrow!
  2. Tomorrow: The secondary one pupils who got posted to concert band will be coming, seniors; be there! (:
  3. Sectionals to be done tomorrow & help Mrs. Chia with the arrival of the sec ones.
  4. THIS WEDNESDAY is our last practice before the rehearsal, so attendence is compulsory! - well.. sort of. x)

Next, about the rehearsal:

  • 7th February 2009
  • From 4p.m. - 10p.m (maybe you can tell your parents that its ends roughly at 10 - you know how band always drags. :] )
  • At Singapore Conference Hall
  • Be in band room by 4.p.m. sharp!
  • Attire: Band t-shirt and school bottom.
  • Prepare & give it our best ;]
Thats it band,
Practise well and hard,
make our rehearsal a blast.
We're already half-way through what we've been working for.
