About the band!

~BEDOK GREEN CONCERT BAND~
Started on 2001..
A group of 45 music-loving students came together to form the school concert band.
Many started with hardly any knowledge of music, but have become outstanding players in the band today.
Our band has since over the years performed at many school events and even made some public appearances.
As of this year 2011, our band averages a strength of about 60 dedicated members.

Vision

“To develop and nurture the students’ character and love for music and be equipped with the skills to play a musical instrument”

Objectives

Students will be able to:
•Develop aesthetically
•Gain confidence in their musical ability
•Exhibit showmanship and professionalism
•Foster teamwork
•Execute stationary drills and obey basic commands

Hey all, its me again (:
UPDATESSS~
(for those participating in SYF only-main band)
  • Monday-compulsory sectionals (3.30pm to 6pm)-attendance WILL be taken.
  • Tuesday-rest day! [: (no sectionals)
  • Wednesday-usual practice with MR FAHMI(3.30pm to 6.30pm)
  • Thursday-final practice before the battle begins! (3.15pm-[not confirmed as we will end earlier to rest for SYF the next day])
  • Friday-SYF at SINGAPORE CONFERENCE HALL( leave school by 9.15am,around 10.15am we have to be there, competition starts at 11.00 sharp-any delay will cause deduction of points)

Yup,thats about it for this coming week, guys lets really give our best alrights? (: Its a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so treasure it! ROCK ON! [:
