About the band!

~BEDOK GREEN CONCERT BAND~
Started on 2001..
A group of 45 music-loving students came together to form the school concert band.
Many started with hardly any knowledge of music, but have become outstanding players in the band today.
Our band has since over the years performed at many school events and even made some public appearances.
As of this year 2011, our band averages a strength of about 60 dedicated members.

Vision

“To develop and nurture the students’ character and love for music and be equipped with the skills to play a musical instrument”

Objectives

Students will be able to:
•Develop aesthetically
•Gain confidence in their musical ability
•Exhibit showmanship and professionalism
•Foster teamwork
•Execute stationary drills and obey basic commands

Updates~

  1. Please pay your band fund, its $5 but if you make late payment, its +$1!
  2. Band camp will be on Thursday & Friday - 19 & 20 March, in the Holiday week, so keep it free! (Secondary One juniors included)
  3. First day of camp is an exchange at Henderson Secondary with EIGHT SCHOOLS, so prepare!
  4. Woodwinds sectionals on 16th March Hols week.
  5. Brasses sectionals on 17th March Hols week.
  6. Percussion sectionals on 18th March Hols week.
  7. We have saturday practise on every Saturday (except this saturday). Be there by 8a.m.! Percussion members be there by 7:45 to move the instruments up the hall.
  8. Tuesdays practise are sectionals - its best if you come.
LAST THING.

We have chop-chop 1 MONTH LEFT. Why? We just got the news today..

SYF is on 4th of APRIL!
